Scrolling Facebook one Sunday evening, I came across a post by a Christian radio station in New Zealand, asking people to share what notes they had taken on Sunday at church. I made a funny comment, saying I had four pages of notes as I spoke, and I was pleasantly surprised when I received a message asking if I would briefly share them on Monday morning, live on air. My phone rang at 7.20 am the next morning, and before I knew it, I was sharing a few of the main highlights from my message. Since I didn’t actually have my notes with me, I was relying on Holy Spirit to give me the words I needed in the moment.
At 10 am, my phone rang again, and it was one of the hosts asking if I would be interested in joining a team that leads an online group via Zoom once a month, as they were so impacted by what I shared. I emailed back asking for more information, but at the same time, I started to ask God what this all meant.
I never went looking for these opportunities in any way or form, but isn’t that sometimes how God works?
Paul says in Galatians 6:10, “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers” (NIV).
God offers us many opportunities to do His will throughout our days. The simple ones might be letting people into lines of traffic when the roads are busy, smiling at a stranger as we pass them on the street, commenting positively on someone’s outfit in the supermarket, chatting to our kids about where they have seen God in their day, or offering to pray for someone who is not a believer.
God is good and faithful to us in all the small things, and He wants us to bring Him into more areas of our lives, even if it is a bit uncomfortable.
Will I say yes to this opportunity? Right now, I don’t know, but I am going to keep praying about it, asking for God’s guidance before I say yes or no.
As this week progresses, let us all be open to every opportunity God may be laying in front of us, and see what He does with our willing hearts!

AMEN! I pray God would direct you with wisdom and that you would know without a shadow of a doubt the direction you should go in! Thank you for sharing this!! ♥️
